ALCo-Schenctady built this 2-8-2 Mikado as CCC&StL #153 (serial #63655, class H-10a) in December of 1922. The loco was renumbered NYC #2253 in 1936. The loco continued in service revenue until being retired in November of 1951 and later sold for scrap in February of 1952. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 342,500 lb, tractive effort of 63,470 lb.
