This 6,000-horsepower locomotive was built in 1951." Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #4995 and #4996. Both are E-3B (B-B-B) electrics built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951, rated at 3,000 horsepower each, and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of experimental service.
