Here is the Association of American Railroads' stock photo #4075. Caption On Reverse: "The Pennsylvania Railroad's steam turbine locomotive shown in the Locomotive Test Plant at Altoona, Pa." Shown here is PRR engine #6200, the S-2 (6-8-6) "Steam Turbine" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1944, rated at 6,900 horsepower, and retired in January of 1952 after just eight years of experimental service. The names of the photographer and the eight railroaders picture here, as well as the exact date, are not recorded. John S. Fisher Collection; #27 of 4+.
