This appears to be either a builder's photo or one taken by CN upon delivery. Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in September of 1924 as CN 4100 (serial #1759, class T-2-a), it was renumbered CN 4190 in 1957. This loco is one of the few lucky ones to have dodged the scrapper's torch as it was donated to the Canadian Historical Railroad Association (CHRA) in September of 1960. Specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 29x32" cylinders, engine weight of 409,240 lb, impressive tractive effort of 80,264 lb. F. Moore Rwy photo |
