Elmira. Here is the fourth of five successive duplicate 35mm color slides of photos by David Connor that were taken on 21 March 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1862, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in February of 1917 and retired in September of 1959 after 42 years of faithful service. Just ahead of the engine is PRR cabin car #477974, an N-5C built in the Altoona Car Shops in July of 1942 and presently on display at the Beaver-Lawrence Railway Historical Society's collection in West Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
