Here is pane 22 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is engine #5, a D-10 (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops as Pennsylvania Railroad engine number "943" during August of 1890, later sent to the Susquehanna, Bloomsburc, & Berwick Railroad and renumbered "1," renumbered PRR "0943" in 1911, and retired in April of 1915 after 25 years of faithful service. |
