Here is the first of 32 color prints of calendar art works that were commissioned by the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1925 through 1958. Shown here is Harold Brett's painting entitled "Speed And Security." It was published originally in 1925 and republished in 1926. Prominent here is PRR engine #5357, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1924 and retired in February of 1949 after 25 years of faithful service. |
