Beautiful color photo of the streamlined Canadian National 4-8-4 Confederation type steam loco #6404. Built in July of 1936 by the Montreal Locomotive Works, it was the epitome of stylish design in steam and headed up the crack CN varnish for many years. Specs - serial #68719, class U-4-a, 77" drivers, impressive 275 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine weight of 280,280 lb, tractive effort of 52,457 lb.
