The real SRC 1 is a gasoline-powered 1926 Plymouth 20-tonner. "Thomas" is H.K. Porter-built Brooklyn East District Terminal No. 15; although they didn't do a half-bad job of making it look like perhaps the world's most famous extinct locomotive class, the LB&SCR E-2.
