| WVCX 3144 is shown at a lumber mill at Allendale, SC 6-24-1994. The paint on these cars faded to a sort of pink tone over time. The tracks at this location were originally part of the Southern Railway line that ran from Columbia, SC to Furman, SC for a number of years. When NS abandoned most of this route, this section was left in place and ties in to the CSX Augusta sub. CSX still serves this lumber mill on a frequent basis. |
