PRR 6831, M-1, #2 of 2, c. 1957         
Here is the second of two original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken just East of the Coaling Tipple in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6831, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in August of 1955 after 29 years of faithful service. The numbers of the other equipment pictured here are not recorded.
