| Eleven old General Electric locomotives were parked on the BNSF-Wabtec interchange just north of Wabtec’s Fort Worth Plant, on their way to being remanufactured. These were Canadian Pacific 9664, 9657, 9644 and 8542; Norfolk Southern 9212, 9224 and 9191; and CP 9647, 9588, 9598 and 9597. The CP units were AC4400CW’s and are going to be rebuilt into AC4400CWM’s while the NS units were C44-9W’s and are to become AC44C6M models. The Wabtec plant was closed for the holidays, which explains the build-up of locomotives on the interchange. |
