After over 30 years of service, the entire class of 25 M1 locos was scrapped between 1953-55 to make room for the more efficient diesels. Wabash #2805 met the scrapper's torch in September of 1955. Specs - serial #61154, class M1, 70" drivers, 235 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 406,400 lb, tractive effort of 66,568 lb.
