MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Marysville, Pennsylvania, on 28 October 1954. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6779, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as an M-1A during March of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in December of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's just crossed the Susquehanna River via the Rockville Bridge and is on its way to Altoona and points West. ("Stoneborobranch"; #8 of 56) |
