Beautiful action shot of Canadian National 4-8-2 Mountain type steam locomotive crossing an unidenitfied trestle bridge with its passenger train in tow. Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in August of 1923, this loco went on to serve both passenger and freight service for the next 38 years. Specs - serial #1710, class U-1-a, 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 354,300 lb, tractive effort of 49,589 lb. The loco was scrapped in June of 1961.
