New Orleans Public Service car 828 was on the ST. CHARLES line on St. Charles Avenue. The car was wearing the window screens that had been added to some of the cars that were used on the ST. CHARLES and TULANE belt lines after World War II to protect passengers from vegetation. The 828 had been built by the J.G. Brill Co. in 1922 and was scrapped in May 1952.
