The ANACONDA was built by Pullman May 20, 1924 as a 12-1 ( 12 Section, 1 Drawing Room, Lot 4763, Plan 3410 ) sleeper named Anaconda, air conditioning ( Pullman Mechanical Brine, Plan 3410A ) installed February 7, 1935, sold to FW&D December 31, 1948, shadow line applied May 31, 1951, repainted solid Gray January 11, 1956, sold for scrap at an unknown date. Hol Wagner, the photographer, notes: The dark spots and stripes on FW&D "Anaconda" are morning dew that had not yet evaporated in the early morning sunlight. |
