| New Orleans Public Service CANAL LINE car 941 was just beginning its trip from the cemeteries to the Mississippi River as it turned off of West End Boulevard and onto City Park Avenue. Greenwood Cemetery was off to the left and the Acme Marble & Granite building was on the other side of the car. The track here was abandoned on 20 August 1951, when the end of the CANAL LINE was moved to Canal Street at City Park Avenue. (approximate date of photo) |
