Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Sunnyside Yard near Long Island City, New York, on 23 April 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5939, an L-6 (1-D-1) boxcab built in Juniata as number "7826" during January of 1932, rated at 2,500 horsepower, renumbered "5939" in August of 1933, renumbered "4790" in November of 1966 in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger, and retired in April of 1968 after 36 years of faithful service.
