| During the spring and summer of 2019, the Central New York Chapter N.R.H.S. began rebuilding one of their cabooses. On Friday June 7, 2019 I was there not only to help them, but also take pictures of the rebuilding. NYC 19144 was built by the New York Central in 1910. After the Penn Central merger on Thursday February 1, 1968 this caboose spent many years as a hot dog stand on Erie Blvd East in DeWitt, NY. The caboose was saved from scrapped and was donated to the Central New York Chapter N.R.H.S. on Sunday August 17, 1986. Minolta SRT-201 with Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400. |
