| The mighty AN used to be king shortline some 20 years ago. Now, the AN after numerous owners and varying degrees of business and then a rapid decline in business, lead the railroad to being purchased by GWI in 2005. Still armed with quite a bit of car loads from customers in 05, that would change with closure of Arizona chemical and the magnesium business in St. Joe that would only leave GP in Hosford still shipping. Here, CIRR 1555 leads a southbound freight down through Greensboro for GP in Hosford on the southern end of their current operations. The one engine, one customer wonder is nothing compared to its former self. |
