CP 7009 2019-08-18 A
Fairbanks-Morse H16-66 on display at the old CP station in Nelson, British Columbia. Displaying these locomotives in Nelson is very historically appropriate as the Canadian Pacific routes around Nelson were some of that last to operate F-M CLC power in North America, and the Nelson shop was one of the last to specialise in the maintenance of these units and their intricate and complex engines. Raymond Kennedy General Sad to see the graffiti still not removed. BTW 7009 is NOT a CP unit. It is a H16-66 (6 axle model CP did not have) . ex Squaw Creek Coal 721001 nee ALCOA 001. 9/3/2019 6:54:24 PM
Dave Stewart-Candy General Yes I am aware it is a faux unit, they mention that in the handout brochure at the station. Graffiti may not be gone but at least the window tarps on last summer are now gone! 9/3/2019 6:57:45 PM
