NKP 4-6-4 #173 - Nickel Plate Road
Smoke deflectors added in May of 1946 and the white sidewalls gave this beautiful Alco-Brooks built 4-6-4 Hudson a European locomotive look. Shame the profile was cut off. The loco was built in March of 1927 and served well through the years. Unfortunately this beautiful machine was sold for scrap on March 31, 1961. No date, location or photographer was listed on this older reprint.
