Chuck Zeiler General According to the records of Albert Weber III (Tap Lines) and the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society, number 3769 was rebuilt from a 2-8-0 in September 1923. The R&LHS records say 3769 was renumbered from 3817 in 1937, and 3817 was rebuilt in August 1923 from 2-8-0 817 (Alco-Brooks 08/1904 c/n 30057). The Tap Lines records agree that 817 was rebuilt to 3817, 817's boiler #30057 was given to IC 863, 817 received the boiler from 863 (Alco-Brooks 10/1905 c/n 38167) in September 1923, and 2-8-0 863 was scrapped in July 1935. Apparently 3817 became 3769 in July 1937, and was sold in October 1956 to Louisiana Eastern becoming #16. 4/17/2022 11:54:27 AM
