Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of Penn Central Railroad engine #7967, a DS 4-4-1000 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "5569" in January of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "7979" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Partially visible on the right is PC engine #9466, an S-1 built by the American Locomotive Company for the PRR as number "5666"in June of 1950, rated at 660 horsepower, and renumbered "9666" in preparation for the merger.
