A CN container train hugs the western shore of Lake Winnebago as it heads north via former C&NW rails at Oshkosh, WI on 24 Feb. '18. Several ice fishing shanties can be seen out on the lake. I had hoped to capture a similar scene a week or two earlier, when there was much more activity on the ice, due to the sturgeon spearing season (the railroad did not cooperate). Train had two locomotives, CN 2856 pulling and CN 2987 pushing. |
