Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6701, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1930 and retired in September of 1952. Looks to me like it's about to be coupled to a waiting passenger train, as an EMD switcher tows an out-of-service GG-1 on the left. The date is an approximation. Roy Healey Collection; #36 of 40. |
