Here is another example of a 1914 Montreal Locomotive Works built 4-6-4T tank loco used in commuter service in Montreal until&retirement. It was captured at the Grand Trunk Turcot roundhouse, long since torn down for an expressway. This loco have been preserved at the Exporail (Canadian Rwy Museum) in Saint-Constant, Quebec, Canada. Specs - class X-10-a, 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 32,487 lb. Anthony H. Perles photo |
