Re-installed Grade Crossing at New London, WI
CN recently re-installed the grade crossing on a remnant of the former GB&W mainline in order to resume rail service to Granite Valley Forest Products (formerly Wolf River Lumber) at New London, WI, as seen on 29 Nov. '17. Wolf River Lumber eliminated rail service ca. '09 and the grade crossing was removed. I'm not sure if rail service has resumed yet or not. Wolf River Lumber ran into some financial and legal trouble and was acquired by GreenStone Farm Credit Services in '10. GreenStone wanted to keep it running until they found a buyer. Welter Forest Products, Inc. (DBA Granite Valley Forest Products) bought it in late '12 or early '13.
