| A CN local pauses on the north leg of the wye at the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 29 Sep. '17. They have just pulled in from the track which connects the former SOO yard to this yard. They will now change direction to take the north leg far enough to clear the turnout which allow them to shove along the west leg of the wye so they can eventually spot their string of cars at the southwest end of the yard. The hi-rail MoW vehicle is CN or WC 177903. The tank cars are spotted for Quality Carriers, Inc., 700 S. Whitman Ave, Appleton, WI. They are located within the wye and transload materials from railroad tank cars, and the occasional covered hopper, to semi tank trailers. |
