NCCC 601 (New Cornelia Copper Company) is a side-dump car, apparently, but I had no way of knowing if it was a DIFCO or not. If I read the lettering right, this car was built in 1916! Note the arch-bar trucks. That seems to be either an advertisement or an elaborate builder's plate at the right edge. Regardless, this was an unusual item or exhibit as part of the Orange Empire Railway Museum at Perris, CA in summer 1991. |
