NYOW 2-10-2 #354 - New York, Ontario & Western  Contributor's Pick!       
Nice original photo by Joseph Lavelle of the 1915 Alco-Schenectady built 2-10-2 "Santa Fe" type steam locomotive #354. According to several online sources, the 12 "Santa Fe" locos (nicknamed Bullmoose) built by Alco were "hard riding and cantankerous tracking machines often prone to minor derailments." Specs - class X, 57" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine wt of 352,500 lb, tractive effort of 71, 083 lb.
