Crisp older photo of the sharp looking 1901 Manchester Locomotive Works 4-6-0 built for the Bangor & Aroostook as their #55. This construction was about the time that Manchester merged into the ALCO group. It lasted until June of 1950 when it was scrapped.Specs - D-1 class, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 144,500 lb, tractive effort of 25,257 lb.
