Are you sure the date's correct? My records show that this unit wrecked in Bellemont, AZ on Oct. 31 2000, then burned beyond recognition and was totally mutilated, and obviously scrapped.

It’s because this locomotive was allowed to burn itself out. It was BNSF’s first ever fatal disaster.
