Housatonic Railroad NX-11 at North Elm Street         
Rolling along the former trackage of the Guilford System and before that the Central New England Railroad, HRRC #22, an ex-MMA, ex-BAR, nee-ATSF General Motors Electro-Motive Division GP7u leads NX-11 through the 10MPH FRA Class Excepted speed restriction on its approach to North Elm Street, with twelve empties to be loaded at the Minerals Technology lime plant.

Joshua Harkness General Ron, I'm not sure on the weight of the rail here. Most of the rail on the HRRC is dated 1922 and weighs 120lbs. I assume that this in the same, as the 120lbs rail was the standard of the time on the NYNH&H, though it's possible Guilford could have redone the tracks here more recently with lighter rail. 4/5/2017 12:41:25 PM
