| The Housatonic Railroad Companys newest locomotive, ex-MMA #22, ex-BAR #22, nee-ATSF #2722, shoves twelve empties, en route to the Minerals Technology lime plant east of the village, past Canaan Union Station, once the meeting point of the New York, New Haven & Hartford and Central New England Railroads. Canaan Union Station is currently undergoing restoration, the old platform has been mostly removed, new drainage has been added, concrete piers for a new deck have been poured and contractors are currently in the process of replacing windows. |
