The photographer is not identified. Shown here are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9515 and two more "EF" Class units with a mixed-cargo freight train near Chicago, Illinois. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9515 is an EF-15 built in April of 1948 and retired in February of 1963 after just 15 years of revenue service. |
