Built by Pullman in June 1930 in Lot #6373 as the Plan #3958A 14 section (14S) sleeper ALEXANDER GRIGGS for the EMPIRE BUILDER, rebuilt in April 1939 to a Plan #4084B 6 section-6 double bedroom (6S-6DB) sleeper, still as the ALEXANDER GRIGGS for the EMPIRE BUILDER. Sold to the GN at the 12/31/1948 divestiture as #1010, withheld from lease in May 1956 and rebuilt in 1957 to business car #A1, to BN, to #A3 RED RIVER, to #800185, to BNSF #3 RED RIVER.
