Front end view of New Hope's former Canadian Pacific Railway SD40-2, constructed by GMD in 1972. Operated across Canada in freight service, the unit also saw freight operations on CP's United States lines as well, including the old D&H. Arriving at New Hope in 2007, it replaced two GE C30-7s which had left for the Ohio Central. Usually working freight trains on the southern end of the line at Ivyland, it is rare to see the locomotive providing power for north end passenger service. |
