Winter Night. Here is an original time-exposure telephoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during February of 1966. Shown here is PRR engine #6515, a GF-25A built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. It is parked in the Altoona Yards, awaiting a crew and orders to pull its mixed-cargo freight train up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. Photo taken from the 4th Street Bridge. |
