12th Street. Kere is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 24 September 1962. Shown here are PRR engines #7143, #7219, #7221, and #7116. All ard EFS-17M's built by EMD in 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train under the 12th Street Bridge, on their way up the Allegheny Mountains pia the Horseshoe Curve toÞGallitzin and points West. Photo taken from an unidentified caboose that was part of a static display of PRR locomotives and rolling stock at the Passenger Station. |
