Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 10 May 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #9647, #9852-B, and #9544. All were built by EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9647 is an EF-15A built in 1950. #9852-B is an EFP-15 built in 1952. #9544 is an EH-15 built in 1948. They are crossing Clearfield Avenue with a 160-car westbound mixed-cargo freight train along with N-8 caboose #478189. |
