Anniversary. Here is an original photo that I took in the cab of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 9 August 1961. Shown here is PRR engine #9790, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in February of 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. Posing in the engineer's seat is Thomas H. Lantz of Duncansville, Pennsylvania. He was 14 years old at the time of Hollidaysburg's 125th Anniversary celebration. "Dinah, won't you blow your horn!" |
