This locomotive was built in January 1976 (c/n 75625-6), became SOO 1505 sometime after February 21, 1985 when the Milwaukee Road's railroad assets were sold to the Soo Line Corporation. When the lease expired on April 1, 1991, it was returned to lessor, American Financial Group (AFG), stored until sale to Union Pacific. On February 2, 1993 it was renumbered to UP 1400, and on August 1, 2001, it became UPY 1400. |
