Jerry LaBoda General Round cab roof... definitely not a GP35. 10/19/2017 2:32:29 PM
Jerry LaBoda General Found it... this is Southern Railway Instruction locomotive 0000, formerly 8241, originally 2066. Wrecked in October '73 it was used to train new mechanics on how to purform various proceedures used on locomotives. Here's a shot of the unit shown on the Great Smoky Mountain... http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=1087920 10/19/2017 2:52:24 PM
Jerry LaBoda General Sorry... originally EMD GP7. 10/19/2017 2:59:29 PM
Christopher Smith General Thanks for the update. I guess I had GP35 in my head because of the turbocharged 567D3A. In any event (including the prime mover), there's not much that's original. 10/19/2017 6:15:17 PM
