Shown here (R to L) are the East Altoona Roundhouse (in very shabby condition), the East Altoona Coaling Tipple and Water Tower, as well as the Westbound Classification Yards (with lots of rusting rolling stock) and HOMER Tower. Also visible are many deadlined Diesels that are destined for the scrapper. Photo taken from the 17th Street Bridge. |
