| Roundhouse. Here is an original photo that I took of Penn Central Railroad property in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 24 June 1972. Shown here is the site of what was once the 50-bay East Altoona Roundhouse that serviced steam locomotives 24/7/365. At one time, it was one of the busiest places in all of PRR-Altoona. All that's left now are memories and weeds! Photo taken from the 17th Street Bridge. |
