Birmingham. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Birmingham, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2262, #2223, and another unit whose number is not visible. All were built by EMD. #2262 is an EF-25 built in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2223 is an EF-22 built in 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. They are pulling a 76-car eastbound merchandise train with caboose #477270. This photo was taken at the stone quarry crossing, just off of State Route 453. |
