Horseshoe Curve-1966. Here is an original photo that I took at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, during early May of 1966. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2325, #2401, and one unit whose number is not visible. #2325 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2401 is an AF-24 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1962 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound merchandise freight. |
