| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad E8 9973 and E9 9992 at Naperville, Illinois on August 11, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. On the left 9973 was bringing a Dinky to a station stop at Naperville, and on the right 9992 was passing with Train Number 1, the Denver Zephyr, on the first 28 miles of its overnight run to Denver 1034 miles west of Union Station in Chicago. Hard to believe, but this was a daily occurrence at 6:30 PM in Naperville during the 1960's. |
